“The Distance” Kinetic Typography

This exercise is another opportunity for the class to work together in an exquisite corpse-like fashion to create one collective piece. Each student is assigned a couple of pieces of music from the song “The Distance” by Cake, and they are responsible to create an accompanying animation using the kinetic typography techniques introduced in class. After they are all submitted, the pieces are put back together to make the song and the video whole.
